Komodo is considered the jewel of Indonesia, having taken its place amongst the world top dive destinations. With its fierce currents, multiple islands and a ridiculous array of marine life Komodo has become the place to go for livaboard cruises.
Gili Trawangan has long been on the tourist trail, but in recent years it has become a popular place to take a dive course. Dive centers in Gili Trawangan are huge, attracting a multitude of divers. Professional level training has also become popular and Trawangan Dive is fast becoming one the best and most professional dive training centers available worldwide, having been praised by PADI and Instructor candidates alike
At Trawangan Dive we conduct Instructor Development Courses every month to a level that is considered far superior to other training facilities and preparing candidates for a career in the provision of recreational dive training. As the only PADI Career Development Center in the Gili Islands, we have developed a range of career orientated programs to enhance candidate’s employment opportunities and help them to develop a satisfying career. Many previous Instructor candidates, once the IDC is over have decided to take a trip to Komodo on one of the many livaboards, but Trawangan Dive have decided to take this to a whole new level by providing actual real life livaboard training on board our Komodo Liveaboard operation.
Once The IDC is finished and candidates are fully qualified PADI Instructors and Emergency First Response Instructors, having already taken their chosen Specialty Instructor courses they will travel to Komodo where they will join our livaboard operation. Whilst on the cruise they will shadow the cruise director every step of the way learning how a successful livaboard operation is conducted.
