The IDC Gili Islands PADI Instructor Development Course has just started. Although the IDC here at Trawangan is usually limited to no more than 5 or 6 people, we have 7 candidates due to an extremely high level of demand for people wanting to benefit from our high level of scuba education and careers orientated training and of course wish to be full prepared for this year’s high season.
We would like to give a warm welcome to Sarah, Phil, Laura, Laura, Marc, Alex and David who have all joined the February IDC here in the Gili Islands at our PADI Career Development Center. They come from a variety of countries and all have different backgrounds and experiences, but all share one common goal; to develop a rewarding career in recreational scuba diving. This is a great mix of people because they cannot only share their personal knowledge, experiences and advice with each other it allows them to take the first steps of social networking within the diving community. Friendships formed during your PADI IDC Course will often last long after the IDC has finished and throughout your diving career.
The PADI IDC held here at our prestigious 5 Star PADI Dive Center give candidates every opportunity to go on and have an extremely rewarding career within the recreational diving industry. In fact you will find our instructors working in a variety of dive shops throughout the globe and all it takes is a stroll around The Gili Trawangan Dive centers to meet many of these instructors.
If you really want a real career in diving this is the place to get it. We not only train instructors far beyond that required by PADI and potential employers, but provide a readymade network consisting of previous instructor candidates who may be working, managing or ever owning their own PADI dive centers and of course our group of 7 dive centers across Indonesia and other affiliate dive centers who are always in touch looking for new instructors.
Our Course runs on a 10-11 day schedule with an additional 4 days pre IDC preparation. Our next IDC Career Development Program starts on March 27 2014 and of course candidates are advised to arrive as early as possible to take advantage of our pre IDC workshops.
