Once the program is finished; Guislain from France, Ricki from the UK, Rosie from Australia, Felicia from Sweden, Valerie from Canada, Carmen from Germany and Arlie from the USA will sit the PADI Instructor Exam and become PADI Open Water Scuba Instructors.
The course runs over an 11 day period at Trawangan Dive; the only PADI 5 Star Career Development Center (CDC) in Gili Trawangan and includes an additional 4 days of pre IDC preparation workshops.
During the pre IDC preparation candidates will use their time to brush up of theory and skills from the Divemaster Course, take some fun dive, meet fellow candidates and settle in. Of course they can also use the time to address any other pre course concerns that they may have.
During the actual PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC) candidates will learn about the PADI educational system, the Business of Diving, Diver Acquisition programs, Risk Management, Dive Theory, PADI General Standards and Procedures, conducting Open Water Diver Courses, the Adventures in Diving Program. Teaching Specialty Diver Courses, Marketing and Sales, Diver Retention.
The course also includes practical workshops for developing knowledge presentations, mastering demonstration standards for Skill Circuits, conducting DSD Workshops, mastering Rescue techniques, mastering the CESA and descent workshop.
